A grand P&O style house in Balmain needed a modern redesign to suit a busy young family but also a nod to it’s 1930s heritage.
The kitchen design pays homage to the house’s 30s heritage with luxurious finishes and subtle curves. The herringbone, dark stained timber floors flow seamlessly throughout the downstairs living areas.
The elements of a timeless kitchen. Carrara marble benchtops, moroccan tiled splashback, black and white joinery and brass hardware. A custom 3 metre long pendant creates the right amount of illumination and ambiance for everyday tasks.
Custom built in gas fire and chimney transformed what was a cold, uninviting lounge room into a welcoming space. The addition of an elegant reeded glass room divider allowed the space to be closed off from the rest of the house when required. A prerequisite for a young family with two growing boys!
